- A multi-purpose facility, we will have a place to gather with friends, family and community groups, providing municipal offices, community conference rooms, multi use performing arts and fitness spaces. The Community Center is designed to reflect both the unique and the shared needs of community groups. 75% of the facility is exclusively devoted to community-use, for programs and classes, performances and events, as well as rentable spaces. The remaining 25% will be the home of Bowen Island Municipality.
- Project size: 17,000 SF
- Project cost $18.7 million
- Mechanical system: Air source heat pump tied into hydronic fan coils. Air distribution is achieved utilizing two large central air handling units serving different areas of the building.
